SANIBEL - GULFSIDE CITY PARK

Located on the West side of the island off of Casa Ybel Rd, Gulf City Park offers public restrooms and outdoor showers. This is a great shelling beach on the curve of the island. Parking is patrolled by the City of Sanibel for Beach Parking permits or hourly parking passes. Meters are located at each public beach access in order to display in vehicles. SANIBEL - TARPON BAY BEACH

Beautiful public beach located at the corner of West Gulf Drive and Tarpon Bay Road. The public parking lot for beach access is located on Tarpon Bay Rd. Parking is patrolled by the City of Sanibel for Beach Parking permits or hourly parking passes. Meters are located at each public beach access in order to display in vehicles. The entrance to the beach requires crossing West Gulf Drive at the stop sign. Restrooms and outdoor showers are available near the beach entrance. Location: 111 Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel, FL 33957

SANIBEL - LIGHTHOUSE BEACH

Beautiful public beach located on the eastern tip of Sanibel Island. The beach wraps around from the Gulf of Mexico side to the Bay where the fishing pier is located. Public Restrooms are available, and one can view the Historic Lighthouse. Parking is patrolled by the City of Sanibel for Beach Parking permits or hourly parking passes. Meters are located at each public beach access in order to display in vehicles. Turn left on Periwinkle Way from Causeway Rd. Location: 112 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, FL 33957

SANIBEL - BOWMAN'S BEACH

A most secluded beach on Sanibel, Bowman’s Beach is located off of Sanibel – Captiva Rd. After parking, a bridge takes you over to the beach for sunbathing and shelling. Restrooms, outdoor showers, BBQ grills and picnic tables are offered here. Parking is patrolled by the City of Sanibel for Beach Parking permits or hourly parking passes. Meters are located at each public beach access in order to display in vehicles. Location: 1700 Bowman’s Beach Rd., Sanibel, FL 33957

SANIBEL - BLIND PASS BEACH

Blind Pass and Turner Beach are both located on each side of the Blind Pass Bridge. One sits on the Sanibel side, and the other on the Captiva side. This beach is popular for fishing and shelling. The current is quite strong, so swimming is discouraged, and there are signs warning against it. There are restrooms on the Captiva side, and parking is patrolled by the respective islands, depending on where you park. Pay parking meters can be found to display the pass in your vehicle.

CAPTIVA - TURNER BEACH

Location: 17200 Captiva Dr, Captiva, FL 33924
Temporarily closed. Turner Beach (locally known as Blind Pass) is a public beach located on Sanibel-Captiva Rd. at Blind Pass Bridge. Popular with shellers and fishermen. Signs warn against swimming due to swift currents along the picturesque rock jetty. Convenient pay parking near and restroom/shower amenities available on the Captiva Island side.

CAPTIVA - CAPTIVA BEACH

There is very limited public beach access on Captiva. This beach is located at the North end near Alison Hagerup Beach, and has few parking spaces, and no restroom facilities. Parking rates follow City of Captiva and Lee County. Location: 14790 Captiva Drive, Captiva, FL 33924

FORT MYERS - FORT MYERS BEACH

Temporarily Closed. Hurricane Ian damaged much of the beach, homes, restaurants and accommodations. Parking is limited and access is restricted in many areas. Note that numerous public beach points are still construction areas at this time. Fort Myers Beach is a popular destination for visitors and locals. There are 29 public beach access points on Estero Island which are marked and accessed from Estero Boulevard. There are also beach access points that are maintained by the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department. A map of beach parking can be found at www.fortmyersbeachfl.gov
